My son loves to cook. While his father encourages him, I have always held him back for the fear that he may hurt/burn himself in the process. With my husband's support, today at 6 years he can bake a little, chop a little and can pretty much cook up a fancy meal. Looking back, i feel bad that I held him back because of my own fears; that I didn't teach him in time what he wanted while also teaching him to be safe.

With each passing day of my children's lives, I grow too. I learn every step of the way. Learn to let go for their sake.
