No doubt kids clothing is a tideous and never ending task. Even parents find it difficult sometimes to choose for their own baby. Here I am sharing some of the tips which we keep in mind especially during winters. 1. For buying jackets, plz look for velcro, buttoned or laced ones particularly for younger kids I mean less than a year. If zipped in front, see whether it has a slight cover up cloth where the zip ends below the chin. If it's not there, it might hurt your child everytime you zip it up. 2. For full sleaved sweaters and jackets it's always better if the cuffs are tighter than rest of the arms. It also keeps their wrists little away when they wash their hands. Same goes with the pyjama or lower as well. If it's tighter just above the ankle, not only it would slide down but also look smart on your child. 3. If you are going to a mall, try buying that apparel which can be exchanged and which has a size lower and larger available. So that after coming back, if required you can get the right size for your kid. I know many parents would like to buy those clothes which are unique and only single piece. So it's up to them. 4. For kids I would suggest everyone to have all coloured clothes. Discrimination starts at our home when we buy only pink and red for girls and blue and black for boys. And then we only remark that my daughter likes pink or my son likes blue. 5. Always dry up all woolen clothes in sun especially of babies. We don't know what all things they touch, how many times they fall, when they pick up small objects, touch a public place etc etc. 6. Try to have one winter apparel of all types so your child won't demand whenever he sees something new at the market place or a shopping mall. Else it might become difficult to control him especially in the case of toddlers. There were my tips for parents what we do whenever we plan for my son's winters shopping. We always collect his worn out and small clothes, and keep collecting them in a cartoon. And distribute them in orphanage at our home town whenever we go there. This way, we know that they have been utilized and somebody somewhere is happy because of us. Secondly, there are those old aunties who can weave kids clothes into decorative cushion covers. So that can be an option if we want to preserve his or her first birthday clothes forever with us as a beautiful memory and keepsake.
