Please help urgent.. My son is five months old and has developed a tendency to pass motion once in a week. But this time he hasn't passed motion for last 10 days. My pedi has advised to passed glycerin suppository in his rectum. am worried. Is it safe? Will it have any side effects? Will my son become habitual to this?

keep him hydrated give liquids and proper food he will start passing motion regularly.. he won't be habitual dear don't worry

Hi pooja I have faced the same case my daughter used to pass stool in 4 5 days sometimes even 10 days as well so used to give this glycerin suppository at night....it's absolutely safe use it at bed time keep his leg little elevated position for sometime make sure your hands r clean n enter this suppository slowly as deep as you can.....All the best

yes it's safe.. and 10 days is a high time... you should follow your doc... and baby won't b habituated.
