Post 3:
Many of us moms don’t take our hobbies as passionately which I think makes us vulnerable in a way. If you are engaged in things that you like or relate you find your own happiness .

I like painting, doodling, cooking new cuisine, hand lettering, and I write. I am an amateur writer. Here are few pieces.

Snowflake.
She calls me mom I know she’s mine,
She chatters all day from fast to dine.
Her broken cars are all in their place,
The painting she did is still on her face.
The more she laughs, the less she cries,
I’ve made her strong and a little fierce.
These days shall pass and she will grow,
She might be a Pilot or a Teacher though.
And than when she is all by her own,
I’ll have to leave a lady all grown.
What I got was a dew from a lake,
I always knew it would turn SNOWFLAKE.

This is very evident for whom I wrote. I know being a mother to a daughter is a lovely feeling but the most difficult one. The emotion behind leaving her scares me all the time. I really can’t imagine that I know am over thinking but this is that fact that I can’t deny . Ok, another one:

He is all I have:
At midnight in the darkest hours a saw a shadow from afar.
He clenched my shoulder, rubbed my hand.
A secret silence between us we share.
The loss was big but he made sure I take care.
The only thing we hoped for got vanished in the blink of an eye.
Maybe the angels loved it more; maybe it belonged to someone more than I .
I do not crib or cry; for it was God’s and this is a trial.
This too shall pass ; answer my another prayer.
Make me strong for him because He is All I have .

The thought process behind this was my sister she have had 4 miscarriages before she got her first born. The traumas she faced I had seen it all ; my brother in law is a gentleman. He was with her all throughout, she was broken so much that she didn’t wanted any babies than . It was so affecting.

Ok, here I realised when you can’t talk it out- you write it down . That is how it works for me. I don’t read much but when I do I make sure I don’t forget. I like Urdu poetry, I like old English, I like the sadness, I like the dark.

Oh , ok I admit I love mills n boons . It’s not the lust in it , it’s how well a small n sweet romance is put up. And each story is such dramatised that I get engrossed each time I read. Now I don’t read much, I use to when I was in my college.

How many moms here have read mills n boons or any other romantic novels. Please share your books here.

Can totally relate to both the poems 🙂🙂 Only a few gifted people can express what they can feel 🙂🙂
