Post- 7 Bal vikas
Bal vikas class program is designed by Sri Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparti, Andhra Pradesh for kids 6years to 15 yrs. It is a non formal mode of education in human values. Children are imparted education from the content drawn from ancient scriptures with Divine guidance, through the methodology of storytelling, enacting plays and singing Bhajans.

The BalVikas classes are conducted on every Sunday in Sri Sathya Sai Mandirs/Schools/Devotee Houses for 1 Hr 30 minutes only, through the use of five teaching techniques – Silent sitting/ guided visualization, Story-telling, Prayers, Group singing, Group Activities.
You can find a samiti of Baba's devotees in every district of the country. And you can easily find a bal vikas class near you by personally visiting the samiti.
My parents didn't know about it. In my colony there was a family who were Baba's devotees and they had a small temple near their house to carry out daily spiritual duties as per Baba's guidance. The lady of the house was very pious like my mother and grand mother. She was affectionate and a storyteller.

I loved stories. I went their to hear the stories and by disguise learnt much more than stories. I would cry if I missed a class on sunday because mommy let me sleep extra in the afternoon. Then I wouldn't sleep in sunday afternoon just wait for the clock to tick 4 and I would rush to her house 10 to 15 minutes earlier.

Bal vikas class is the core of my humanity.
