my daughter is 3.5 years old and im still battling it out on the weight front. My BMI is perfect but i feel im a lil fat. iv tried gymming and working out but then i get bored too quickly as i lack good company here so now iv finally started walking. I go for regular walks after my daughter leaves for school. Put on my earphones and get set go. Nothing is more pleasurable than walk through nature. Iv started keeping a track of how much iv walked, best pace, elevations, healthy pace etc through the S Health application. It does motivates me every morning to walk a tad extra, be it 200 steps more than the day before or say 100 more healthy steps. This alongwith certain dietary monitoring.

Hi friend, One of my biggest motivation (well rather slightly negative) was to get out of the house with my baby for sometime. My fil would want to take my baby for walks (no harm in that and it was great bonding time for them) But he would feed my baby biscuits and big chunks of other commercially made food stuff. She was EBF till around 7 months and I has just started soups and juices for her...Imagine my condition... So to avoid this, i would just plop her in a baby carrier and go for long walks. Well, soon, this turned out to be the most awaited time of the day for me and my baby. My baby's weight acted as a strength training or resistance training.... whatever u can call it. In a matter of 2 months, I had lost oodles of pregnancy weight and had got fitter. plus it was fun. So u need to find * What will motivate u. Maybe Dance, aerobics, yoga, walk, running, babywearing walks, swimming, etc. I personally find gym and walking very monotonous. So for now swimming and training for marathon is what is motivating me. Maybe later it would be something else. * And instead of Loosing weight... SHIFT your focus on mastering a technique.. like if swimming... try mastering butterfly stroke or learning to dive from 2 level... (scary for me, but I will do it soon) * Add fun element to it. * Have a buddy. So u both can support each other's goals. For me group dynamics work. I always opt for a class and a coach. Right now I have a fantastic coach and buddies for marathon training. * Use a peppy music while working out. Just remember to take it slow. Listen to ur body and set smaller goals initially. It will work out if u. Lots of Love.....

agree with Dr. Srujana..think about being fit. walking is the best exercise if you can manage to take out time. eat healthy food and that's the mantra to remain fit. all the best
