Raising a little salad eater.. . . You just must be so tired trying to feed your baby nutritious food but it goes all in vain when your little one refuses to eat. Well you aren’t alone, most of the parents deal with this every day including me as kids start developing taste buds and soon clinge on unhealthy or outside food or simply fill their tummies with snacks. . . Snack time can be made fun & healthy by making your baby eat salads from as early as six months. They need to learn to eat all sort of textures, to swallow, to chew etc it's incredibly important for jaw development. Veggies and fruits can be chopped or cut into julienne. You should peel, boil and chop them into bite size in the early months of life, later on raw veggies can be served that are slightly baked with butter & little salt sprinkled over it to add taste. . . Here's how to make kid’s friendly salad that your little ones will actually enjoy eating: . -Adding green veggies such as broccoli, spinach, beans etc -Carrots, potatoes and sprouts are all kids favourite so why not add them -Add grated cheese! -Add chopped boiled egg to make it even more healthy -You got to become creative, cut them in the shapes they love! . . Little story time : Simra loves to eat cucumbers and carrots. Her favourite veggies are potatoes, beans, ladyfingers etc which isn’t a big deal making her eat. Although she doesn’t like eating her greens, so I make a perfect meal of greens that go hidden with rice & lentils and of course a salad that is finely chopped comes to the rescue.Haha in order to make her eat healthy, I could do anything! . .
