Raising a reader:-

Reading books to your toddler will help foster their love for reading.kids can learn to love reading even before they know how to read on their own. Even with their limited attention span is is possible to nurture their love for reading.

** start reading to them when they are young.
** read with your child everyday. A book read over and over helps build their vocabulary.
** read a variety of books with big bright pictures, small and simple words, touch and feel, sound this will keep them interested.
** make a reading space for them where they can sit and flip through their books.
**visit the library and seek for new books.
** be interactive and keep asking them questions and explaining them different things while reading so they can participate in reading process.
** try reading with different voices and exclamations it will get their attention and make reading more enjoyable.
** start with small books as they can’t sit still for more time.

Remember If you want to raise a reader, be a reader.

Few fun things to make reading fun:
~ have different puppets to help tell a story.
~ different voices to keep them interested.
~ be interactive, ask questions.
~buy different books, with a lot of pictures, rhyming words and sing-stories.
~ let them turn pages it will help with their fine motor skills.

It’s never too early to turn your child to love reading.expose them to books and reading from an early age. Keep it simple, keep it fun, keep it interactive.
