Rakhi, a much celebrated #indianfestival which glorifies the bond between a #brotherandsister where the brother is given the role of a #rakshak (protector) and the girl ties a Resham ka Dhaga on her brother's wrist to signify the bonding & roles defined by society On the contrary my sister and I was all we got, in our childhood we were asked who will we tie #rakhi to? We used to say we have many brothers (didn't know how to distinguish between a brother and a cousin brother back then), we were so naive! While growing up, we both realised we catch each others back... the sibling bond is over and beyomg any other brotherly-sisterly love! I never struck me till today, that I can tie a rakhi to my sister too, as we used to tie rakhi to our father too! Its never too late to #discover and #reinvent traditions and that's the beauty of it. While tying rakhi to my husband and son, I promised myself this year that now on, I will tie a rakhi to my sister too! After all, #shesalligot isn't it @jaded_153 What traditions do you people follow and have you changed a few as per your family set up? #resmomsibility#differenttraditions#redefinebasics#indianculture#expatmom#bbcreatorsmom#bbcreatorsclub#bbcreators
