Recieved the #earlyfoods cookies sample for review a week back and while i was all excited to try them, I also wanted to take my time reviewing it.
As the packet suggests it is for Pregnant ladies and breastfeeding mommies! But wait and what! My husband was the first one to taste it and I had to stop him from finishing them off.
I recieved the package of 2 packs of cookies- foxtail millet with walnut and bajra barnyard milet with almond. 👍:
1. The cookies tasted really delicious.
2. A good supplement to up the Iron and Folic content over and above the regular diet.
3. Good for moms who are working or do not have help to prepare their own home-made laddoos or food items/health cookies etc for pregnancy or early lactation period.
4. Easy late-minute aide for those midnight hunger pangs or to snack when hungry at odd hours of pregnancy or breastfeeding.
5. Free of preservatives and organic, No refined sugar nor refined flour , No raising agent (baking soda, baking powder etc ) as mentioned on the package: Wholegrain flour, milk, Organic jaggery, combination of Dry fruits (walnuts , watermelon, sesame seeds, dates and almonds etc), ragi and other protein rich components.
6. Well packed and sealed to retain the freshness and quality of the cookies.
👎: 1. Very expensive.
2. No of cookies in 1 pack is very less. Might not serve even for 3 full sittings of a snack hunger-pang of a pregnant lady.
3. Might not be the go-to choice of a regular Indian women, given its a packaged food.
