#republicparade#East#Odisha I am always proud of my state, my culture and definitely east India..as I belong to Odisha, a part of East India. This is also called as Kalinga. My state is full of temples, full of culture and festivals more than we remember as we say in odiya "12 masa 13 paraba" means more than one festival per month. Odisha is also called as temple city where we can see beautiful architecture of ancient India.i can't not describe all the temples name and about its greatness in one post but definitely can say few very important and world famous festival and temples. The first world famous destination and temple of Odisha is PURI. We also called as Jaganath dham, as it is one of the thirtha dham and lord Jagannath, balabhadra and subhadra get worshipped there. We celebrate Rath Yatra world wide today at every Jaganath temple along in puri Odisha. Its a must visit place for everyone to see the the old template and visit lord Jagannath.
The 2nd famous destination is Konark Sun temple which is the 2nd pic in my collage. It is one of the masterpiece of Odisha and ancient architecture. This temple is a world heritage site and dedicated to god Sun.it is made up in the 13th century and is famous for its stone wheel architecture.it is also present near to puri .. around 35 km distance.
The 3rd famous place in the capital city Bhubaneswar is Dhauli Giri which is the 4th picture in my college , the white structure temple. This is also called as "The famous rock edicts of Ashoka / Buddhist peace Pagoda / Peace Pagda" .With the beautiful Daya River lying in the proximity, you have the ancient land of Dhauli that lets you know about the enormous battles that were fought here, the Kalinga War of 261 B.C. Buddhism for which Dhauli is so well known played a crucial role in transforming King Ashoka to a diehard Buddha devotee who eventually followed the preaching of Buddha for the rest of his life. Dhauli is famous for the edicts related to Buddhism that were composed from the Brahmi script and used Prakrit language. One can spot a series of rock cut monuments at this hill. One finds the image of intricately carved elephant and close to this elephant, you have a stupa, that's called a santi stupa. Its also a must see place in Odisha. These are the most famous visiting places and to name few more is Chilika lake, which is the world's largest fresh water lake is in my stage n near my city Berhampur. Its a beautiful flowing water lake which is as large as sea and every winter birds from all countries fly over n comea here.apart from temple the dance, saree, food and culture also a very important part of Odisha which we won't find outside of our state. Pahala sweet, chena poda, rasabali and kakara pitha or sweets are the famous mouth watering sweets of Odisha.Odishi dance is now world famous and I am glad to know the classical dance form of Odisha which literally describes our tradition and famous parts through its Abhinaya. The famous festivals of Odisha are Raja, Dussehra, dipavali and many local festival in which the Odisha gets decorated to look beautiful and in every home you find the home made Odisha sweets. I must say I am yet to see many other places but these are the must see and eat of Odisha.
