it means you have antibodies to the infection but contact with infection was a long time ago. igm signifies recent infection, igg signifies old. it could be because of immunisation you had as a kid. but basically you don't have anything to worry abt as you recently haven't been exposed to rubella. we do this test in pregnant women as rubella in mothers causes a variety of defects in the fetus. so this report is good <u>news</u> and reassuring. nothing to worry abt.
