SECOND POST

As told in the first post, in this one iam introducing my place, thrissur to you all:

🎀Thrissur is also known as the Cultural Capital of Kerala because of its cultural, spiritual and religious leanings throughout history.

🎀 The city hosts the Thrissur Pooram festival, the most colourful and spectacular temple festival in Kerala.Thrissur has a large number of well-known temples including the Vadakkumnathan temple, Thiruvambadi Sri Krishna Temple and Paramekkavu temple, and the Guruvayur temple as well as two churches, the Our Lady of Lourdes Syro-Malabar Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral and the Our Lady of Dolours Syro-Malabar Catholic Basilica, the largest Christian church in India.

🎀Christianity, Islam and Judaism entered into the Indian subcontinent through the Thrissur District. Thrissur has opened the gates for Arabs, Romans, Portuguese, Dutch and English.

🎀Eventhough I have visited places in and out of India, no place could beat my native, my hometown.

🎀My home, is on a riverside. It’s always a part of my heart. It’s the place which moulded me. Actually it’s the river and riverbank made me a poet at heart. It’s the place where i first talked to the love of my life.

🎀Having a home facing river is always divine. I never ever felt boredom when i sat near the river. As it’s told, you never see the same water twice, you never have the same thought twice when you sit near a river. River always makes you romantic.

🎀Across the river we have a hanging bridge 🌉 too. When we were kids we enjoyed walking to the other side of the river through this hanging bridge. When it’s windy, the bridge shakes while we cross the bridge and that was the first adventure we took as kids, that was the adventure that made us brave enough to try scuba diving, white water rafting , para gliding, para sailing in future.

🎀All my cousins and friends used to visit us during vacation as for everyone our home was a vacation spot with variety of entertainment to offer. Cousins and friends enjoyed fishing 🎣 and camping 🏕 at our home.

🎀 opposite side of our river is a peninsula, which offers variety kind of flora and fauna. It was great adventure to roam inside that peninsula during our childhood as it was an abandoned land then. Now the owners are gonna construct a resort in it.

🎀My childhood was all colourful because of the place where i lived. I won’t have any beautiful memories to cherish if I lived in a town or if my home wasn’t in front of a river. Always thankful for such a natural blessing.

🎀Me and my husband first talked and met in that riverside so the river is always a part of my life. Our first meeting and the story in next post.
