The curious cat strikes again! #ChildooTales
We were at Inox last Sunday to watch the incredible Despicable Me 3 - Pooja has already shared the review and it is a MUST WATCH.
Apart from the funny story and clever script what I personally loved the most were all the dance songs from the 80's!!!!!!! Bet you, not many of you were born then :(

So we come out and my childoo says she wants to see if the cat from last time (previous story link in the comments!). I said okay, let's see if she's around. We head to her tree house - she was no where to be seen. #thenineyearold looked disappointed. We walked ahead and saw two kids trying to befriend a cat below a huge banyan tree.

Childoo's face lit up like a lighthouse on a dark moonless night! "It's her, mom. It's her." I wasn't too sure, but I played along (literally) - I meowed a bit (I'm good at all sorts of SFX - in fact I should add that in my resume'!) and then started petting her till she began to purr comfortably. Childoo took over and sat there quite happily.

A few more kids came by and watched. I encouraged them to pet along, but there were just happy watching childoo fondly give cattoo a back rub.

Then childoo forgot she was petting a cat and tried to touch her paw (we have a building dog who loves that). The cat raised her paw and childoo raised herself and ran away from the not so purring creature.

She still kept on saying it's the same kitten who has grown up - now that I see the previous pic I'm not too sure. This time she didn't throw a tantrum, but she quietly said, "You promised mom. And now there's a cute litter in the lane behind our house. Can we adopt one puppy? Can we? I promise I'll look after it."

So I'm fine to adopt a puppy. Question is, who will look after it when we are travelling? And we like to travel.

Being a parent is never simple. Sigh.

We bought them when her school started and after couple of months she opened the cage and let them fly off. She has been asking for a new bird since few months. Once we are back in Town she will get them she knows that there is no one to take care of them when we are travelling. And she has to let them fly off after few months.

But taking care of that little being is a big task. I always suggest ppl...if you love pets.. visit ppl who have pets or animal shelter and donate things there. Bringing pet in a commitment for 15-20 yrs.

nisha i m happy to get her a pet as i m a pet lover. but we travel a lot - according to her school calendar. in the summer we are away for 1.5 mnths. its cruel on the pet to not hv a backup plan for its care in our absence. hence my dharam sankat. all kids, especially single kids deserve a pet but i need to find a reliable caretaker in our absence....
