There are so many questions I get here and around over Formula Feeding basics, needs and the do's. But along with these I also get the hint that formula feeding mommies feel a certain guilt. I thought it wise to make a post on why to drop the guilt. Just like C sec doesn't make you a lesser mom, Formula feeding doesn't make you a poorer mom. #droptheguilt #formulafeeding #babychakramoms #feedingeseentials #kolkatamoms

Exactly, we as moms need to stop feeling guilty and not care about being judged. that will help us bring up strong kids.

I m breastfeeding my baby plus formula feeding...
As my baby was 5 days away from me...i didn't had milk at all ....I tried tried tried for many days ...even a drop was unavailable...but before that my doctor had started giving formula milk from pipe to my baby as he was in NICU FOR 10 days .... First I was seeing that formula milk bottle like my enemy.. I didn't knew of formula milk before...as in my family I have seen all mother to breast feed ...I never thought in my case I wont be able to feed my baby ...my mil ,mom ,grand mom ,sis , nurses helped me in expressing milk ...but in vain ...
Then I started to take tablets n powder as my father is chemist he knew how could he help me....
More than my bf I was concerned about my baby health. ..after a month; milk supply started but in excess it started after 3 months but at this point my reyansh had took formula milk n this got to be his habit to have fm ...now at present I bf plus fm ...earlier I was thinking y me...y I can't give my baby enough milk...but as time flies days passed my life was even more stronger with him....
Baby bond doesn't depend only on bf ...yes it is a factor but there are many other things by which as a mom we can bond with our lo
.
There shouldn't be guilt from mom side bcoz it's ur baby n he or she will not be judged only by bm ....

I don't feed formula as I have enough or say excess BM but I'm not against formula. It has it's own pros and cons so it's mother's choice. I would happily switch to formula if the paediatrician asks me to. I agree with you fm mom should not feel guilty.
