#tips for itchy eyes!!
Eyes are one of the most important sense organs!!
What if a small particle or any dangerous substance (mouth wash, facewash, detergent etc) goes into our eyes accidentally?.. specially kids are at a risk and sometimes will put their own fingers in their eyes or even while playing can hurt them..
1. We usually rub our eyes vigorously when this happens and it becomes red. So the first thing is to close your eyes and instead of rubbing it press it lightly with hands. Eyes immediately react to a foreign particle or liquid by becoming watery, so let that water flow. Avoid rubbing as it causes a bruise and increases the problem.
2. Second step is to wash the eyes well with water several times and pat them dry with a clean cloth.
3. Take a small hanky and roughly crumble it in hands and bring it near your mouth and express hot breathe on it. Press this hot hanky on closed eyes many times. It usually gives lot of relief and problem is solved. Specially works well with small children.
4. Once itching has subsided a bit one can take some cotton dipped in gulab jal or rose water and place it in the closed affected eye for few minutes. This also helps to give relief and redness also goes.
Last but not the least if there is too much itching, swelling around eye area and redness is not decreasing consult a doctor for eye drops.
