To Send or Not to
I was 4.5 years when i went to school. My sister was 3.5 yrs old and my brother was again 4.5 years.. and by Gods and Parents grace we all have done really well in our life academically.
We all went to nursery which in todays terminology is LKG , if I am not wrong.
Fast forward to present day, playschool age group starts at 1.5 years. I see kids 2 years old crying yet being dropped to school (of course a few of them are really happy bou going to school but majority are not)
What do you guys do.. have you started sending ur kid to play school at 2 years.. or hv waited till 3 yrs at least. What did you do if ur child still cried even after sending daily for a couple of months.. did you pull them out or still persisted?

Before admitting him in play school I enquired in school about the age of joining school .here at my residence there r children but his grandparents were so much concerned about would not let him to play with other kids and as a mother I wanted him to play and have fun with other kids too

Day care is boon to working parents, even for work from home moms. I have lot of frns who into crafts, baking, soap making etc. And they leave their kids at day care, those days were different because we had someone to take care when the moms worked and if the moms did not work they took care, working from home and making a carrier was not frequent those days. Having said this I'm definitely against putting 1.5 yrs old pre school where they are taught alphabets numbers and other stuffs. It is not the age to study. I work from home but i have amazing nannies to take care of Atarah, might put her in day care once she completes 2 yrs.

I started sending my son to playschool at 2 years. He was admitted in playgroup for some 4 months and later promoted to Nursery. I chose to send him to school because he was learning quickly and we didn't have children of his age for his interaction. The idea of sending your kid to playschool is just to prepare them for the mainstream schools. And if you can teach your kid at home then there's absolutely no need. The thing is when your child is 5 years old they should be in class 1. It really does not matter if they have attended any prior school but they should know whatever are the prerequisites of the class.
.
I wish to make Shaarav's transition to big school next year when he's 3.5 years and he'll start again from LKG. So by the time he's 5 years old he'll be in Class 1. It's up to you to decide!
