question
today I had my appointment with my gynaecologist. my weight has increased by 1.5 kg . iam running 33 weeks. she examined my baby externally and said she thinks my baby weight is lagging behind by 10 days. advised me to loose weight. do lots of brisk walking. is it good to loose weight at this time. secondly can the doc judge the baby weight by examining externally.

Yes the doctor can assess the growth of the baby with external examination. Loosing weight means ensuring that you eat right and exercise so that your fats get converted to pregnancy requirements. You may not loose on the scale but if you do not gain weight then it translates to the weight being contributed towards pregnancy. You can also focus on high protein foods to help the baby gain weight.
