Ingredients
2/3 cup Rice- washed /soaked/drained
1/3 cup Toor or Moong Dal- washed/soaked/drained
1 onion -chopped
1 tomato - chopped
A pinch of turmeric powder.
Ghee
Preparation :
In a pressure cooker, add ghee.
Add the cut onions and tomatoes fry them till they become transparent.
Add the turmeric powder.
Fry it till the ghee leaves the sides.
Add the washed Rice and Dal, fry for a second.
Add 3 cups of water and allow 3 whistles
After the steam leaves, mash it a little and serve.
Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
