While it's not good to compare the two kids, raising a little competition between them does no harm. Provided its done in the right way for the right reasons and with the right desired intention. Whenever my 16 months old twins create a mess like spilling water, etc I always make them clean by creating a competition as to who will clean first. They both try to do their best in completing the task. Once done I don't really tell them who won but appreciate both and reward them together with a hug. How many of you do the same? How many of you think creating a little competition with right motivation isn't that bad?

I agree. At times i do the same to make my baby eat or drink milk. But then i feel im forcing competition every day which i don't think is healthy. I think being competitive is great but now i noticed he brings competition in everything like getting ready, putting toys away and with others too. Not sure if its a healthy habit
