UNSEEN STORY BEHIND VACATION PICS
🧳So recently we did our first international trip to Turkey as a family of four with our 3.5 yrs son and 5 months old baby. Me and my husband love to travel and explore new places.
🧳 We already had memories of many local/international trips with our son. Whenever travelling I just love to click photos with my kids to preserve it as a memory forever. Yes, I am a social media addict who likes posting photos / albums on my FB and IG page. For this trip too I was consistent in updating my account with stories/photos / videos depicting our enjoyable moments together.
🧳We travelled at our own pace but like a maniacs even with the kids with us , for a obvious reason " Turkey baar baar kaun jaega ghoomne" "Explore as much as you can".
🧳We explored many small big cities, traveling in local trains, trams, taxis, buses, taking domestic transfers. Seriously speaking, every second day we were in different hotel in different city. We had boarded early morning to late night flights in order to reach our next destination.
🧳Packing Unpacking the luggage was not a joke. 9 days journey with small kids , you can imagine the amount of luggage we would be carrying which includes baby essential gears like a stroller, carrier belt, car seat etc.
🧳There has to be sufficient amount of clothings for kids , for sure they will mess their outfits some or the other day and you are not going to do laundry overseas.
🧳 No matter how much prepared you go with kids , you end up misplacing things in one or the other bags.
🧳Behind every smart tidy pic of a kid , there is a parent running behind them to get them dressed decently. Imagine if it's a cold weather, then number of clothings would increase which further creates the double trouble.
🧳Each morning it was like a marathon to get ourselves ready to move out of the hotel which includes waking up, taking bath, having breakfast. While moving out of the hotel we made sure we carry kids basics with us like an extra pair of clothes, snacks, baby diapers etc etc list is long.
🧳 Dressing myself was not in my list. I wore what made me feel comfortable with kids.
🧳 Running behind the kids for basic needs, letting them explore and enjoy the moment , managing their not-interested tantrums, dealing with their everlasting demands , manipulating with their sleep & eat cycles are all what followed throughout the day. It continued even after we reach back hotel superexhausted at night/ eve after the day's outing. Again getting the basics done for the kids before putting them to bed. And again the luggage gets packed unpacked making sure that soiled used clothes are not mixed with the fresh ones.
🧳 So its rightly said " a mother's job never gets over whether its at home or on a vacation'
🧳But at the end we made some everlasting memories for ourselves and for our kids.
