#vratkakhaana Many of my dear friends have tried to guess the main ingredient of this recipe but now I am revealing it. This is pethe ki kheer. Super easy, less time consuming and yummy!! This recipe can be eaten in vrat. It is so delicious that kids don't even have to chew it. Ingredients
1/2 litre milk
1 cup grated kesariya petha (you can use other petha too. We have to wash it first well by dipping and rubbing it in a bowl of water to avoid extra sugar. It is necessary as if there is khatti chaasni, milk will get spoiled.
Dry fruits of choice (finely chopped)
Few strands of kesar if you want kheer to be yellow, if using kesar flavoured petha no need for it.
1/2 tsp Elaichi powder
Rose Essence (optional) Method
1. Bring milk to boil in a pan and let it reduce a bit for 10 -15 minutes. Don't need very thick consistency. Add nuts too. 2. Add grated petha and while stirring let it cook for 10 minutes. 3. Switch off the gas, and when a little cool add elaichi powder and rose essence. Serve chilled.
