Watched 2 child centric movies today after more than a year. Both had interesting perspectives. So sharing brief reviews here- 1. Hindi Medium (Hindi) - Revolves around school admissions and its typical pain points. The parents in question resort to the RTE quota (meant for underprivileged people) and what happens later is battle between values and interests. Definitely worth a watch for all parents especially those in urban areas. Also has some interesting takeaways for raising kids in affluent, upper middle class families. 2. Posto (Bengali) - The paternal grandparents (based in Shantiniketan) are the primary caregivers of a smart, little boy for the first 7 years of his life. The working parents live in Kolkata and visit over weekends. The battle ensues when the parents want to take the child alongwith them. A very emotional, legal dispute follows between all well meaning protagonists, with a happy ending. The movie comes with subtitles so it is a must watch for all who are raising their child with grandparents as co-parents or caregivers. #moviereview #regionalmovies #watchingmovieswithkids - Have you watched any movies related to parenting?
