We all know that breast milk is the best choice to feed your babies when they are suffering from fever. But breastfeeding might not be possible always. Foods that are rich in protein, zinc, vitamin C, calcium, iron, and other micronutrients work best when given to babies during fever.
For babies above 6-8 months who have been introduced to new foods here are a few food options that will reduce the discomfort caused by fever, as well as provide your baby with energy and nutrients to support recovery.

Plain moong dal khichdi
Mashed curd rice (make sure the curd is at the room temperature, avoid giving cold curd)
Mashed boiled vegetables
Soups or broths
Milk
Eggs
Buttermilk and yogurt
Turmeric milk
Nuts (almond) and dates
Fruit puree or soft fruits
Baked fish

Make sure you keep your baby hydrated and include warm liquids (soups or broths) in their daily diet. Avoid fatty foods, fried foods, canned juices, sugary foods, flavoured cream, spicy foods, oily foods, and cold beverages.
