It's a pool money collected from a retail investor or institutional investor, to invest in market instruments like shares, bonds, securities etc..

Before doing any investment, determine the goals and analyse on the below questions:

1. When to invest?

2. Tenure for investment?

3. Risk or gain?

4. When to withdraw?

5. Where to invest?

Mutual funds are subject to market risk is what we see in the advertisement...but none clarifies on where the risk lies and how to mitigate or minimise the loss in case if any happens..
