My pead recommended milk of magnesia...M giving that my son.....Baby is in exclusive breast feeding....Formula was given when he was born in hospital....After that I have never given fm....Even then he don't poop by himself.....Doc told give that syrup if he don't pass stools for 3 days....But my concern is how long I have to give this chemicals...Why can't it be set <u>right</u>

hi lakshmi pls consult your pead for sure. if you can avoid suppositories pls do. a syrup laxative is better but pls ask the dr whether it is allowed to be given regularly. is your baby on formula by any chance? if so you need to re-look at what you are giving him. tc

Yeah ....Unless I give him syrup he doesn't pass stool by himself and he will be very cranky , gassy and don't drink milk properly if he is not passing stools 2 days <u>once</u>

Lakshmi,please rule out your cracked nipples. Babies while sucking milk,take in the blood from you cracked nipples,hence there is blood.else please consult your doc asap as it needs immediate medical intervention.<br>
