Formula milk is powdered baby milk which can be mixed in water. In other countries it is also available as ready to drink liquid or concentrated liquid form. The composition has been designed keeping the baby's digestive system in mind. However it does not not have the live cells and the immunity building benefits of breast milk. Hence although it is suitable for babies under one year of age the best option is still breast milk.
