when actually is the baby considered due ? i see many would be moms whose due date is in a day or two abd they are 38 weeks pregnant. wherein my due date is given after 40 weeks. which one to consider ?

all due dates are calculated for 40weeks.. usg reveals edd based on growth of fetus which may be 38-39 weeks difference..

at 38 weeks the baby is full term and generally considered the go ahead to deliver. 40 weeks is the calculated due date for the baby. Most women naturally go into labour between 38-42 weeks.
