Why does cord infection happen i had kept him clean and cord is dry from top and from inside it's wet . plz help .doc a dive already taken . but want to know if I can something more to help baby

I clean everyday and apply betadin powder also as suggested by doc.  it's not falling off he is 16 days old today .

Hi. As i understand you already have taken baby to doctors? correct. The cord after delivery needs to be treated and cared for. You must apply spirit to the cord with a cotton ball. Hope baby feels <u>better</u>
