NT is a regular ultrasound scan done between 11 to 14 weeks of pregnancy. The NT scan measures the clear (translucent) space in the tissue at the back of your baby's neck. If everything looks fine to the dr, they don’t even mention it to u but would have mentioned it on ur report. Check it.

Dual marker test is done to rule out Down syndrome. Dual marker test includes the NT (Nuchal Translucency) can which basically detects any cardiovascular abnormalities in a fetus and then it is followed by a blood test. The blood test report comes after a weeks time. This blood work checks the chances of ur baby having Down syndrome or any kind of chromosomal abnormalities by checking ur genes. Ur age is also taken into consideration.
