I have fed my babies mostly in lying down position. in this way you also get rest. when you breastfeed baby the flow is regulated by baby's suction. when you bottle feed you need to be careful as flow is more regulated by bottles nipple flow level. so I always suggest my friends too to feed in lying position

If u are feeding formula milk then it may cause an ear infection but never with breastfeeding.
