Yes! I am a STAY-AT-HOME mom and no! I am not free!


While the world is getting acknowledging and appreciative about women in general for all their hardships,motherhood accomplishments and gender-equality etc, there are many a times a stay-at-home mom gets cornered. And for what?? For being a stay-at-home.



Often SAHMs face this situation where not only men but majority of the times fellow moms, working moms, mils etc are commenting on the privileges of being at home and getting to enjoy all the luxuries and comfort abode the heaven called HOME.


BUT, here's the truth dear passers-

I am a STHM and no I am not sleeping, dancing, watching serials and loitering in my home. I cook, i clean, I tend to my baby, often through entire nights after the worked-up days.

I am not having all the time on earth for myself, infact because I am NOT a WORKING mom, I don't even get the privilege of asking for a ME-TIME.



Oh! What keeps you busy?, you have just 1 baby and you pretend busy as if raising 10. - Excuse me!! 10 or 1, I raise my baby with utmost care and time, so all the busy-ness business that i show is not to camouflage my leisure time but to put it right that i am as involved in raising my 1 as anyone would be with 10. and thats called being INVESTED and NOT being busy.




I am working but not paid, I have a help but the help needs my help, I 1need a day off but my day just goes off, I need some adult-child-free time but by the virtue of being a STHM always and forever involves me in a baby-conversation that is endless and mindful and oh, so exhausting. I want to go to a Spa but the spa can wait because the baby won't go on a mom-free date!, I would love to have kitties but my kitties are all baby nitties and gritties.


And through all this, I enjoy being a mommy as much as i can ever wish for and while i need all thats mentioned above and much more than could but I don't want someone to mouth me with a- oh! STHMs are always so free because good because now or ever, here or forever we are on a monger spree to hit everyone with a glee!!!

PS: applaud and appriciate working moms' for their efforts. Just a special shoutout to all those working at home and not being paid- with thankfulness or cheer.!!!
