Yes, they are just onions and garlics. But my daughter loves playing with them. She loves cooking (at least for now) probably because she mostly sees me in the kitchen.
But most importantly, I let her do what she wants. I ask her and let her decide. She may be right or wrong. She may pursue cooking today or may ditch it tomorrow.
What matters is letting the child pursue and understand his/her passion. It's important to understand that every child has its own potential.
