hey ambika - have u done a follow up visit to the dr? pls do as meds hv been prescribed. pls make sure u r using a steamer in the room - add a drop of nilgiri oil in it. Sheeba Vijesh pls share ajwain potli remedy. hope baby feels better soon

Sheeba Vijesh

hi dear, heat some ajwain and few garlic cloves on a tawa and make a potli of this... apply the potli(make sure temperature is comfortable for baby) to baby's chest and back. when heat is gone, you can simply reheat the potli and apply... you can also keep the potli near where baby is sleeping so that baby gets the smell... you can also make gralic oil, heat about 8 crushed cloves in 1/4 cup of mustard oil or coconut oil, apply under baby's feet and put on socks and leave...

Hi Ambika. It does take time no doubt. Have you tried steaming? Why you must opt for steam for you and your child? is a good read. I do steaming whenever baby gets a cold

Ambika Karakaraddi

ive given him steam with nilgiri oil.

Hey ambika, crush a garlic pod in hand, and make baby smell that, my granny did that to my baby, it worked like charm .you can also apply little vicks vaporub to soles put on socks....

Sometimes too many medicines make it difficult...Keep breastfeeding, keep giving steam as you are doing and do ajwain potli compress like Sheeba Vijesh said. And relax! Cold is not a bad thing...it is just a way for the body to detoxify. So it is good in a way...
