hi dear you can mix a fruit flavor to make a sugary taste. you can add apple mashed a little to porridge u make and do experiments like this.. just see the combination js safe. Rakhi Puri please suggest
ok thanks ..but i want to know that if I give her more of sweet foods will she develop the taste for salt after she turns 1?
hi bhavana you can add mashed fruits or formula milk powder if using one to the porridge.even den if yr kid refuses you can chk with your paed to add a pinch of sugar or salt.as same is the case with my kiddo.he is also 6 month old.

Bhavna Makwana jaggery is a good substitute of sugar...you can use some but in moderation...as per my girl's pediatric babies should experience flavours... mixing fruits like banana, apple sauce and jaggery enhance the taste and nutrition value both...I have given my girl lil suger also sometimes when nothing was around but I have observed she likes natural flavours a lot....I add a pinch of salt in khichdi and Dal I cook as i want her to experience all different flavors we eat.....I steam some peas and blend with lil water and give her as soup, same with carrots and beans and she likes....I never give juice instead blend the fruit and give.... discuss with your pediatric once you'll have more clarity..... thanks for the tag Aradhana Sharma
