yes it would be little messy... i personally had that experience... i had my water break at 33weeks and it was 2 A.M... i woke up to have a glass of water and switched on lights and my membranes ruptured 😂... soon i informed hubby and with in ten mins we rushed to hospital... at that time even sanitary napkins will not work.. and personally i didnt had any symptoms before rupture... some symptoms like severe cramps and pain in lower abdomen or backache or spotting or white dischage may occur...
thanks Dr. Shilpitha. if sanitary napkins wont work then what could be done ?? how to sit in car and go to hospital in front of so many people in this condition... pls suggest
jyoti i used a thick layered cotton cloth, then i stick sanitary napkin... and in car i asked my hubby to spread a thick plastic sheet and a cotton bedsheet layering and its a matter of some minutes.. yes it was little uncomfortable but even people can understand situation... dont worry 😊

I also had c section. But early signs will include sudden cramps, change in colour of vaginal discharge, tiredness, backpain. U should give a call to ur doctor on any of these sings or rush to hospital. Tc.
what happens if water breaks? I mean immediate delivery is required or is there any way to fill it again..
hahaha.... sid.... r u kidding.... what a joke ..... filling it again
hahahaha I know my question is damn funny... 😂😂😂 I was just curious to know as one of my friends relative had this at 27th week.. even Dr shilpitha said hers was at 33 weeks.. so I wondering what exactly happens as 27th week is too early..
no darling... once the amniotic fluid is bursted, immediate delivery has to be done. either normal or c sec...
Hey, even I had a c section. I was on bed rest from the 5 month, since a cervical stitch was put inside. The doctors tried their best to perform a natural delivery after the stitch removal in the 37th week. But the labour was too long and the baby's heart beat had started to decelerate, so they had to go in for a c section. But I remember they manually broke my water using a hook earlier since they were hoping it would help with progressing the contractions. had felt some sort of a warm gush. Dr.Shilpitha Shanthappa has advised very well. You can be better prepared now :)
also jyoti, there are these maternity pads available online on Amazon which are much thicker. I had bought them to use for the bleeding post delivery, they might also be of use. No harm in keeping them handy. All the best and tc! :)
thanks Asha Chaudhry for tagging. As for jyoti's question, ofcourse it will be quite messy and you should be ready for managing it. I used thick pads of muslin and cotton, need to change frequently. I am not sure about any early sign but for me that moment was like experiencing a lot of cramps, back pain, with a need to rush to the washroom as I was unable to understand whether I had to pee or poop and once the water broke it was followed by more and more pain. But a happy feeling too because I was now very close to have my baby in my arms.
asha chaudhry I am too a C-section Mom.
Jyoti my water broke in the hospital after my pains had started so I don't really know if it is messy but it is like a warm water rush. My friend's water broke at home in the bed. she said at first she thought she'd peed on the bed but later realised it was the water breaking haha. Messy or not it has to happen. there aren't any specific signs which tell you it's going to happen I guess. mine happened on the last day of my 40th week.
I had c sec... no such experience..
I don't have personal experience but my MIL had it in one of her pregnancies she shared her experience her water was ruptured in 7th month when she was in school she didn't get any pre alarms was regularly teaching in her class n suddenly she felt somthing burst inside n rushed to the hospital directly with one of her school attendants. She had to deliver the baby before the time coz cord was stuck around the neck and she lost water as well....it was a dry delivery😦But baby (who is my Jeth now😉😅)was okay ☺
omg.... most terrible n awesome day it was... m thrilled by thinking about that day..
I used to do morning walk when I was pregnant..it happens in when I was 8.3 weeks pregnant. it was a usual morning for me...I was on my morning walk chanting mantras n songs for my baby.. when I come back to my home.. just opened the main gate of my house is felt something... yes it's water break.. I can't walk few steps as I walked 3 to 4 steps n water burrrrrrr ..even using a pad vant help either.. so embarrassing in front of all family members , hospital staff (I know hospital staff are used to of all this but m not) don't have any labour pain or opening but due to water break gone through c section..
hello jyoti n all the best.. don't think about the peoples yeah it's little bit uncomfortable but it's the only process.. just be confident..u soon gonna forget all that things the moment you hold your baby..
What a dangerous experience it was!!! 😔
thanks to all
i had this experience.. it was early morning at 6:30 when i went to the washroom and suddenly felt hot vaginal discharge.. i was scared first thinking tht m bleeding. but it was sticky transparent fluid. i immediately called my doctor and he said to cme to hospital.. went ther n i was hospitalised with severe back pain.. As i was early in my 33rd week my doctor gave me an injection to prolong my delivery but it disnt happend and i was rushed to labour after 2 hours of pain.. doctors tried for normal n c section both as my one twin baby was head down n other one had not done that.. so was in labour for another hour.. i gave n agreed for c section and than got my twins premature in 8th month itself..
dont think much dear.. having knowledge of everything is good.. but bringing such thoughts in mind is not.. just b calm.. leave rest to god. everything will b fyn
