Sháhânàh Râshéèn

don't worry... clean the nipple everytime before giving milk... u can also squeeze the little milk because nipple contains micro holes so sweat may go inside... if baby drink it... it gets vomiting often...

If the vomiting is recent then please have a check up. Also make a note of the following
1. does the vomit happen after every feed
2. does it seem like a large spit up or a vomit. vomit generally comes with a force.
3. increase the burp time. hold baby on shoulder for minimum five minutes in an upright position.
your nipples have anti infective glands which keep it hygeinic and hence takes care of the sweat.
Removing milk and feeding will not help with the vomiting.
Finally couple of ideas
Feed the baby at the breast but at an incline position.
If you feel your milk comes very fast express some milk throw it away and allow baby to latch after.
Make baby lie down at a slight incline tilted to one side after a feed.

Is your baby gaining weight normally?Does the vomiting come out soon after feed? Most likely your baby has a bad case of reflux, which is a lot of work in terms of cleaning up and changing clothes, but not serious in a medical sense.

What you can do to reduce the vomiting:

1. Ensure your baby gets sufficient hind milk:
the reason to squeeze milk out is not hygiene or sweat. it's called foremilk hindmilk imbalance. the milk that initially comes out is more liquid and comes fast. so when baby drinks it they gulp in air as well. if you don't burp the baby properly, then when the burp comes, all the milk will come out too. it's important for the baby to get both foremilk (for thirst) and the thicker hind milk (for weight gain). To reduce foremilk (so you don't have to squeeze it out) don't drink too much water at one time. Also feed more number of times but for shorter durations.

2. Change in your diet: Some foods you eat may not suit baby. try removing it one at a time to test. usual culprits are acidic foods (curd, tomato, tamarind, lemon) or gaseous foods (Gobhi, muli, heavy deals)
