Q:

Few questions on breast feeding:
1) Does eating few vegetables makes baby gassy?
2) Can I eat curd or any cold item, will my baby get a cold?
3) Can I give few spoons of water to my baby, he is 5 months 1 week old.
4) Does spicy food or outside food make baby gassy?
Internet has varied answers and my pediatric says nothing u eat will make the baby gassy or make him get a cold. My gynaecologist says spicy food might make the baby gassy. It's so confusing

There is nothing like gassy foods. as long as you balance your meals and digestion is optimum all foods can be eaten. If spices suit you and you are used to them please go ahead and eat. You can surely eat curd it's a great source of protein and calcium and also a probiotic which will aid in digestion. It will not give the baby a cold. If baby is exclusively breast fed please do not give water to the baby.
