My son had the exact same and this continued for quite some time. At least 4-5 months. When i spoke to my Dr about it he said its apart of growing up. Children have bad dreams and this will reduce. He also advised. When they awake just give some water and make them relaxed. Assure them about reality . I used to say We are sleeping at home ...this is such a nice bed...use soothing stories or songs. All the best
