How many days does viral fever last for ? Also i have Been hearing that if medicine once open should not be used post 1 to 2 months of opening it is that true because earlier it was that medicine should not be taken post expiry looking for an answer.

antibiotics within 15 days n pediatric medicines also should be used soon not more than 15 days as it contains sugar n flavours it will attract bacteria which may lead to some other infections

ok thanks what about medicine like crocin ds syrup or cold and cough syrup like soventius, allegra or timanic all this also need not be taken after 15 days of opening as nothing mentioned on bottle but i hear randomly nowadays ki it should nt be consumed .
hence want to be very sure

Hi Mamta, u can use medicine till expiry date present on it.But some liquid antibiotics which we use for kids should be consumed within 5 to 7 days ..and that will be there on the medivinal bottle.If nothing is mentioned on the bottles like crocin, cold syrup n all u can use till expiry date.Please keep these medicines in a cool place ..i mean in a cupboard or so n don't expose then to direct sunlight n heat...

thanks dr for your input .seriously nowadays for crocin syrup also i have heard from chemist/dr ki once opened can't be reuse after couple of days .your msg has really given me relief.
