that's ok. kids that young tend to get overwhelmed with so much of stimulation. be patient, it will start getting better around one, by 2&2.5 kid will start loving the drive too.
meanwhile what I suggest is take turns in going out. sometimes u can go to movie with frenz and leave the baby with his dad, other times he can go with his frenz. also try making a circle with mommies who have same age group kids so that u can have play dates. kids can play and u girls can have some fun time too

its altogether a different environment for babies when taken out...try to take the baby out in the park or building premises for 15-20 mins initially..then increase the time and eventually try taking her out.

for baby she knows only you ...outside world is a complete new thing...so give time to baby to settle...even we as adults take time isn't it?

if ur baby is not sleeping during the driving just try to indulge her in outer surroundings by showing things out of teh window(closed), slowly u will see the difference. i tried it nd it worked for me

hi vanita. so to good to hear that u r using a car seat which is the best way to travel with ur little one. I am telling u from experience. we have travelling thousands of kms with my baby in the car seat. so some of things that I do: buy a big and shiny possibly musical rattle and hang it on the car seat. make ur baby sit on the car seat at home this helps getting him used to the car seat. take ur baby for shorter drives in the car seat. and keep a breastfeeding pillow in handy. in case baby gets very cranky get him on the pillow and try to feed. and if that also doesn't help. stop the car for sometime get some fresh air and continue to ur destination. my baby also used to get cranky as soon as the car started and wanted to come to me. I didnt use to pick her immediately and eventually she sleeps fine. u can also give a pacifier. hope this helps.
