Congratulations! By when are you planning for a baby?
Congratulations! How many weeks are you?
I have a
5 months old baby
No need to give sunlight to your bump. But sunlight is essential for all humans. So if ever you can give one to early morning sun. Say before 9 am. For you can sit or better walk in mornings. But no need to specially expose bump to sunlight.
ok roopashree thanks a lot...someone even told it reduces chances if neonatal jaundice ..
Now a days jaundice is common. You have take less turmeric powder and don't eat jackfruit.
Direct sunlight is not required. Better you go for a walk..that will be change for you as wel. After delivery... baby are exposed to morning sun for half an hr or 1 hour for this purpose. Don't worry. If you have any doubt... Consult your gyno in your next visit.
thank u so much roopashree :)
Welcome Dear... don't forget your sunscreen... as it's summer.. chances of sun burn will be more.
thank u so much :D
D3 is important but it will not go thru your skin uterus and amniotic fluid to the baby. It needs to be absorbed by your skin and then get to the baby thru your blood.
15 minutes exposure to morning sunlight is enough. Remember it has to be skin exposure so you will need to wear minimum clothing.
Wearing a sunscreen will prevent sun burn but also will block the D3 so then being in the sun is useless.
turmeric does not cause jaundice in babies. That is pure myth and old wives tales. Yes exposing the babys skin to morning sunlight helps to reduce the bilirubin levels which cause the baby's skin to appear yellow.
very informative ..thank u mam
