hello..
which surgery he has adviced?? does he mentioned name of surgery??

Dr. Shilpitha Shanthappa

Might be it is becoz of Blocked Tear Duct-
During the first few weeks or months you may notice a yellow, sticky discharge from one or both eyes. This is usually caused by a blocked tear duct. Most newborns’ eyes begin tearing by three weeks of age. These tears should drain into the nose through tiny tear ducts at the inside corners of the eye. A thin membrane that usually breaks open shortly after birth, allowing proper drainage of tears, sometimes covers the nasal end of these ducts. Often this membrane does not fully open, causing the tear ducts to remain plugged and tears to accumulate in one or both eyes. Fluid that does not drain properly becomes infected. If this happens, the discharge from your baby’s eyes will be persistently yellow, suggesting infection in the region of the blocked tear ducts.
For this first try to massage tear duct - massage upwards towards nose atleast 5times on both side that to every 3-4hrs daily or else consult an opthalmologist(eye doctor)..if he also suggests surgery- then tht surgery is done by giving gen.anaesthesia and a small tiny wire is introduced in tear duct thn blockage is opened..this procedure is done with in one year of age..
try home remedy first...

see, if the doctor suggests surgery, take a second opinion. if the second doctor also suggests surgery dont be afraid. nothing will go wrong, little children sometimes hav eto go through surgery. if you pnic, things will worsen out for you and the little one. be strng mumma, a lot oof things re to come your way :-)

yeah then once cosult opthalmologist...and take his opinion...dont worry..take care..
