I want to start baby wearing. My bub is 6.5 months old. Is it too late to start? Can you all share your experiences if you are using any carriers or slings? Do you use it at home too? Does it put any pressure on shoulder or back?

Hi Erica Tuscano...  congratulations on deciding on babywearing... U have no idea how wonderful ur life would be once u start... I have worn both my girls from the beginning ... 4yrs back there was little info available about babywearing,  so got my hands on one of the best I knew, that was Mothercare... It was definitely convenient for me to handle my girl and take care of my house. However I felt it was difficult to wear my baby for a long time in that since it would also lead to a back pain... But since I had no other option I still kept using it...
Now that I have another little girl,  I got introduced to ergonomical babywearing,  thanks to Rashmee Gajra and her babywearing brand Anmol...
With the right ergonomical carrier,  u wud never have any kind of back or shoulder pain... I wear my girl for hours and am able to do all the possible work at home while she is cosy in the carrier...
Babywearing has lots of benefits for both the baby and the mother,  check out the articles on this app for the same...
And yes it's never to late to start babywearing.. However since all babies are different,  I would suggest u to try a carrier before buying coz there are plenty of options available, so plz choose the one that ur baby is most comfy in... U can look out for babywearing libraries,  which have meetups for mommies and u can try on carriers from various brands and choose d best...

It's not to late to start. Always go for an Ergonomic baby carrier. I use the soft structured carriers. Attend a baby wearing meet up so that u get to know about different brands and try various carrier. Yes I use it at home too at times. Now that my son is 10kg , I feel some pressure on the back.

Hi Erica Tuscano it is definitely not late to start!  In fact you could take a look at Anmol Baby and Cookiie Pie Co for their descriptions and see how that supports the back. Happy to answer specific questions.

Hey Erica!!! It's not at all late..I have used all types of carriers...RS/SSC/Hybrid/Wrap...I can't imagine doing household chores without my RS...An ergonomic carrier does not put any pressure on your back or shoulders..it's comfy for both wearer and the baby..Let me know if I could be of help..I love to infect mums with the  passion for babywearing!!
