Hi Divya Manoj Kumar... I have realised lately that each pediatrician has a different take on this... I follow Dr R K Anand..
It's advised to exclusively breastfeed a baby till six months,  however I had started giving semi solids to my girls since they were 5 n a half months old on my pediatrician 's suggestion... This he suggested since he explained that the baby's body needs extra nutrition other than breast milk once he is 6 months,  and if we introduce solids two weeks prior,  we shouldnt have much problem in weaning d baby,  and the baby would be ready in time...
As far as this watermelon is concerned,  don't worry,  a little would do no harm..
I would suggest u to take a go from ur pediatrician to begin solids for ur baby

hi divya - we have a lot of articles in Weaning Foods pls read them - they will help. i started weaning my baby by first giving her kaanji (rice water) - once u start the process wth easy things to digest it will get easier! good luck!
