hi Dr.Shilpitha Shanthappa what wud be ur advise?

Sheeba Vijesh

did doctor say ok to go by train?

Roopashree Siddireddy

You have to check with your gyno, as they know you better. There must be some reason why they asked you not to travel by car or flight.  Coz, some travel all the time. For some it will be risky. Please talk to your doctor. Be careful while journey... pack all your essential.

@Roopa: Doc adviced me no for flight because take off and landing jerks.. So she told its safe to travel in train anytime. Since it's comfortable. Car travel is okay but not for long hours..

it's said that you can till 7months but my SIL travelled in her late 8 months n everything was alright. Ask your doctor when can you travel...yes doctor is right as the chances of jerks are almost nil in train you can take rest you can stretch legs you can walk also though it's time consuming but comfortable...... flight don't suit to some ppl in pregnancy n travelling by car will be very tiring n not advisable.

Dr. Shilpitha Shanthappa

Hello...
Trains usually have more room to navigate and walk. The restrooms are usually spacious if you choose first or second AC. It is essential to hold on to rails or seat backs while the train is moving. Try to limit the amount of time you are cooped up in the train. Keep travel time around five to six hours.. some tips which may help you- Dress comfortably in loose cotton clothing and wear comfortable shoes. Take your favorite pillow. Plan for plenty of rest and stretches. Carry snack foods with you. If you are traveling any distance, make sure to carry a copy of your prenatal records..
