Q:

I had c-section on 6th december. I m still having postpartam bleeding. Now the bleeding is not heavy and it's brown in color. I consulted with my doctor he told me that it can be becz of placental retention or hypothyroidism( TSH- 2.92). He has prescrible Cosclot tablets for 10 days and asked me to perform a Transvaginal usg after 10 days. My CBC report is normal and hemoglobin level is 9.7 now. Please tell me what are the possible health threats i can face becz of placental retention? Expert advise needed. Dr. Shilpitha Shanthappa

This tablet is stop bleeding and hb is really low.. what was your hb before c-section?? The main issue with retained placenta is it causes irregular bleeding and also anaemia

There are more other complications too but will discuss once you confirm through tests

Hemoglobin level was around 10 to 11 during pregnancy.
