Q:

I have exclusively using cloth diaper at home and give my daughter 1-2 hour diaper free time after every diaper change. Also always apply oil or rash cream for keeping moist skin. But she is having red rashes at the joint areas and 1-2 whit spot.
What is the reason and how to deal with it?

Dear use coconut oil and try to use a diaper with more absorbant capacity maybe. Keep the area fry too.; If the coconut oil isn't helping, change the diaper rash cream brand.; Himalaya is real effective. But sometimes, all skins might not adapt to the product. Consult your doctor once to be on the safer side.

I think the cloth diaper doesnt suit every baby,my baby had the same prob, she never got any rashes with other diapers but with cloth diaper...i did and the rashes went away.. stop using cloth diaper for some time ... may b that solves the prob

Some cloth diapers leave the skin moist. This can cause rashes. I would suggest u stop; diapers completely for a day to air the region. If the rash has been present for more than 3 days u should go to the pediatrician, to rule out a fungal cause.

Sachi... You should try nappy pads. I found these really good for daytime use. They are absorbing like diapers. Will share you a link.

Sachi Singhal

Sonam patel I am using teddy nappy pads during night time and I am very happy with that. My concern is that redness in the joint area. It is there at every joint be it neck or arms or legs. What is the reason for that? #tagfwd

This could be an allergy or an infection if it's everywhere else too.; Pls talk to your doc now dear.

Sonam patel

Yes...Then this is not diaper rash. This might be allergy from clothes or products you are using or something other. Make the baby wear loose cotton clothes. If it's still cold then avoid heavy woollen clothes.

I agree it may be due some products .; .try going without any products for a day and see how is her skin ? . .also what detergent are you using to wash clothes
