Andheri West

For a carrier that isn't a wrap-convert, it's remarkably light. It also has all the features that make it a go-to: a big pocket, a neat hood, and no safety lock (the safety elastic does the job just fine for me, and lets me do quick up-and-downs). I also like that it's built to be able to do three kinds of carries - front, side, and back. With an increasingly heavy 11-mo who isn't yet tall enough to appreciate the view from the back, the side carry has really come in handy.

This was the first carrier I bought, back when bub was just over 5kgs, and I found the minifyer especially helpful in getting the right fit. The carrier grew with us, and still fits us perfectly at 9kgs. I appreciate the padding on the Cookiie, which isn't too wide/thin, but appropriately placed to nicely cushion babies, especially when they're younger. I also appreciate the wider waist band, which nicely covers my mum-tum!

The Cookiie looks great when out & about, with the contrast-colour hood against the graphic body. I don't use hoods all that often, so for me, it's a nice aesthetic feature more than anything.

As we do more back carries, I'm starting to realize Cookiie's pocket placement may not be ideal for that - it's right in the middle of the carrier. But that pocket's come in handy so many times in the front carry that I'm willing to forgive it :)

This will always have a soft spot in my heart for being my first SSC; the one that my husband picked out because he loved the colours! That one fact says it all when it comes to aesthetic appeal.
