I started consulting Dr. Avan when I got pregnant, as she was highly recommended by many I knew. I felt very comfortable with her experience but the wait times were a pain. So I tried another well known doctor as well (in parallel). Just when I was thinking I need to finally decide between the two, I ran into a complication (short cervix) at about 20 weeks. The other doctor immediately prescribed a few medicines and advised that I undergo an operation to manage the situation. Avan, on the other hand, said she'd rather wait and watch because an operation brings additional risks, and hence avoidable unless absolutely necessary. This made my decision. I preferred her approach far better and it reflected her experience too.
The only two things I wish were better - lesser wait time and a more relaxed atmosphere (she's always rushed given the number of patients waiting).
